Daily Project Notes

Daily project updates for those interested…

7.21.06—-

- I just talked with a producer from ABC news - looks they will be following along for part of the day. (quite possibly, right from the start)

- T-shirts are in and they look awesome! I hope you find me and ask for one - and I hope I don’t run out!

- I just talked to this really cool guy from this Japanese TV station/website. Look for me to possibly make news in Japan!

- I’m talking to Time Out for NBC about my project today!

7.19.06—-

- Today Yahoo! stock value plummeted $10,400,000,000.00 - the same day news of their involvement in my project hit a major news source - COINCIDENCE?!?!?!

- I went to Coney Island today. I almost died on the Cyclone. I sat in the back seat and screamed the entire time. Awesome!

7.18.06 ——

- Not much happened today - other than seeing myself featured in this weeks Time Out New York!!!! I think I look fat and dopey in my photo - and some of my more witty remarks didn’t make the article - but I think it came out pretty cool and it’s been a great boost for awareness of my project.

- Got a call from Time Out late today - they want to feature my story on NBC this week/end! They were looking for some “b-roll” - all I had was some lame pics of me. We’ll see if my story makes it on air.

-The project may be featured on “the 9″ - a 9 top things on the web news show on Yahoo!

7.17.06 ——

- Katz’s Salami day! I made a trek to Katz’s today to pick up 3 of the finest salamis on the planet. I taped the entire event to share here on the site - but I’m still trying to figure out how to get the dv camera and my laptop to play nice. Once I figure out how to get vidoe on my mac and edit I can get suff up here. Look forward to the most boring thing you’ve ever seen online - video of me buying salamis.

7.14.06—–

- I direct photoshoots all the time, but for the first time in my life, the camera was turned on me. Yesterday, down by the Flatiron Building, I met up with and was photographed by photographer Sandra Roman for Time Out NY. It was pretty cool being shot and having people stop to see what was going on. A handyman named “Tony” stopped and asked if I were a famous skateboarder. This was ironic because Time Out New York is sometimes called “TONY”. I told Tony I wasn’t a famous skater - just some guy. Tony handed me his card and said if I ever needed some general contracting work to give him a call. Sandra did a great job shooting, and had some really great ideas for the composition of the shot. But, I’m not photogenic at all, so her job was tough. I was a sweaty mess, and the wind was nuts. Plus, no makeup. I hope to look at least 2% sexy in the Time Out article. I anticipate me to look 10% fun, 70% sloppy and 20% needing to do some situps.

- I went down to Best Buy on 23rd to meet Jen from Yahoo!. We met up to buy me a video camera, to docment the most historic event in history - the Find Bryan Murphy Project. I’ve never had a video camera before, and I’m pretty excited to have one. I plan on getting some video up on th esite soon (once i figure out how).

7.13.06—-

- I have a tentative photoshoot scheduled today with Time Out NY - they want some photos of me in my “game day jersey”.

7.12.06—–

- Had the phone interview today with Time Out New York magazine. I hope I didn’t say anything too stupid, although I’m a chatterbox and probably did. I’m going to be featured in the next issue - so keep an eye out!

- I should have a video camera by Friday to get some video up soon.

- Superstar photographer Anne Nagel shot some “3d” photos of me today for the “who to look for” section, I hope animate and have them up tonight.

7.11.06——

- This past Saturday, I bought a bright green shirt to wear on the 22nd - game day. I got my first name printed on the front and last name on the back so you can tell its me (pics up soon). The people that printed my name on the back of the shirt spelled my last name “MUPRHY” . I was bummed out and we fixed it, but you can still totally see the mistake. In hindsight, I should have left it spelled incorrectly as this could have been funny.

- I sent out the art for the T-shirts (more Yahoo! awesomeness) to give away tonight. I hope to have them printed and ready for you on the 22nd.

- I took delivery of the Dell Laptop from Yahoo! - will have the camera and mp3 player soon. (i hope to have video on the site soon)

- I may have an “interview” with Time Out New York this week - I hope to get a project mention in the next issue!
