Person whining: “Hey, we’ll never find you! New York City is SO big and you could be anywhere! Just tell us where you’re going to be!”
I truly appreciate your interest in participating in the project, but my objective isn’t to tell you exactly where I’ll be. (Which we may be able to do with GPS anyway) (Which you can see via my blog with realtime photo posting from Flickr!)
After all, the project is called “Find” Bryan Murphy.
I’m hoping to have people both actively and passively look out for me on the 22nd.
Sort of like one would when someone like Julia Roberts is in town.
One could stumble across her and say “Hey! You’re Julia Roberts! I heard you were in town”.
Or, you could do your homework and stalk her paparazzo style for some hot gossip and juicy photos. In this case, a laptop.
My goal on the 22nd is to be out and about - meet people who read my blog and found the project online (you), talk, take pictures, document the day, and enjoy myself.
I want to see how many people actually heard about the project and get involved - actively and passively.
I will visit places most people frequent on a typical Saturday in New York City. My goal is to be outdoors all day long, rain or shine, with the exception of bathroom breaks, eating, getting coffee, etc.
My 9am starting point is going to remain a mystery - as where I will end up at 5pm.
There will be a project “wrap party” after 5 pm at a bar I will disclose soon…
To help identify where I may be, here’s a list of areas I anticipate visiting. (in no significant order)
You’ll probably be at one of these places anyway, so just keep an eye out for me!!!
What could be easier than that? (I guess real time GPS tracking)
Places to look for me:
- SOHO
- Canal Street
- West Village
- Chelsea
- Wall Street
- Brooklyn Bridge
- East Village
- Rockafeller Center
- Bryant Park
- Lower East Side
- Union Square
- Chinatown
- Herald Square
- Grand Central Station
- Little Italy
- Central Park
- Times Square
- and everywhere in between!
See? Easy!
And if you happen to see her, tell Julia Roberts I said hi!
!!!!Addendum!!! - Look for me online! Check my blog for real time photos of where I am at any given time. I will be taking snapshots with my cameraphone and uploading to my flickr account as I go. You’ll be able to see me and pinpoint my exact location!!!
